I’m looking for 4 receivers with 1 being HD and one being DVR. I’m also looking for 2 movie channels and would pick the package with 250 channels from both. What’s the best and what’s the cheapest?

Well we went with DirecTV after reviewing the plans and online reviews. I’m definitely happy with the selection, the picture quality is so much better than cable, the customer service is good and we’ve had it for almost 2 years now and haven’t had any technical problems or outages. The main reason we originally choose DirecTV over Dish Network is because of the sports packages that DirecTV offered which were not offered by Dish Network.

I’d clearly vote for Dish cause:
- cheaper
- more channels and more variety
- awesome picture quality

I have Directv and I love it. I had cable before and I get so many more channels and it is so much cheaper than cable. I have internet through the cable company but I will never get tv through them again. Also another thing I like on Directv, don’t know if you would be into this or not, but they have a bunch of games like Uno, Bejeweled, Blackjack, Suduko, Yatzee…just to name a few, that you can play from your directv remote.
I think Directv has a special where you can get free DVR.
I would just go to both of thier websites and compare them to see which one has the best deal for what you are looking for.
Well DISH has more HD channels, a larger Dish which captures more signal during rainstorms, and they have a 4 in 1 box with DVR and HD….that’s the best.
I really don’t think Direct TV is cheaper…..it was about the same cost as my Dish is….
There is little difference between the two, but I personally prefer Dish Network better as I feel that they are slightly better value for money. Either way you will do well.
